Elle & Stuart...behind the scenes

I consider myself to be a positive person who always tries to look on the bright side of life. It's been challenging to live and work through Covid-19 but its certainly made me look at my workplace with renewed admiration and appreciation.

I established Elle & Stuart back in 2010 and much has changed since then. Last October we moved into new premises (just next door to the old shop) and it been a pleasure to have had additional time over the last few weeks to decorate the new space.

The new shop is just so calming, I'm not sure if its the colour scheme of grey and white with a hint of pink that makes it special or maybe its today's candle Peony and Jasmine slowing drifting through the shop.

This is a view of our welcoming front reception area with a beautiful old Singer Sewing Machine taking pride of place.

Our Special Occasion/Bridal altertion and fitting area is getting many favourable comments and I really love being able to display and use some very special pieces of furniture that have been in our family for many many years. Who doesn't want to look at themselves in a beautiful mirror ?

Planning a wedding and dealing with endless details is not always a smooth journey and I wanted to create a space at Elle & Stuart where my clients could come in for a wedding dress fitting appointment in a special and relaxed setting.

We now have a beautiful collection of bridal belts, veils and sleeves that can be added to dresses to create that extra bit of wow on your wedding day. If this selection isn't enough just ask I'm sure we can make something for you.
